Vote punishments
Let members vote to kick, time out, jail or ban someone when no moderator is around.
Turning it on
Every kind of vote is off until an administrator turns it on, one at a time. You can also do all of this on the dashboard under Moderation → Vote punishments.
,votepunish kick ,votepunish timeout ,votepunish settings
Each command flips that kind on or off. The kinds are kick, timeout, jail, tempban and ban. Every votepunish setting needs Administrator.
Starting and voting
,votekick @someone spamming ,votetimeout @someone ,votejail @someone raiding ,votetempban @someone ,voteban @someone
- The vote is posted with Yes and No buttons. Whoever starts it counts as a yes.
- You can change your vote while it's open; each person counts once.
- The person being voted on can't vote.
- When it closes, it passes if enough people voted and enough of them said yes. The bot then punishes them like a moderator would: they get a DM, it's logged as a case and in the mod log, and the reason says how many agreed.

,votepunish immune @Veteran | Only staff | Roles that can't be voted on |
,votepunish list shows the votes running and ,votepunish cancel 12 calls one off (both need Manage Messages). ,votepunish reset turns everything off and goes back to the defaults.
Who can't be voted on
- Staff: anyone with Kick Members, Ban Members, Timeout Members, Manage Server or Administrator (real or fake permissions).
- The server owner, bots, and anyone with an immune role.
- Anyone whose top role is above the bot's, since the bot couldn't punish them anyway.
- Someone who already has a vote running, or was voted on within the cooldown.
Staff can always start votes and vote, even when starter or voter roles are set.
Common problems
| Reply | Why |
|---|---|
| Members can't vote to kick here | That kind is off. An admin turns it on with ,votepunish kick |
| … is staff, so they can't be voted on | They have a moderation permission |
| I can't post votes in the vote channel | The bot can't send messages in the channel set with ,votepunish channel |
| The vote passed, but I couldn't … | The bot is missing the permission (Kick, Ban, Timeout Members, or Manage Roles for jail), or their role moved above the bot's |
| The vote passed, but they left before it ended | Nothing happens to members who already left |
