Economy

Every server gets its own currency. Members earn it, pay each other and spend it in a shop you set up, usually on roles.

Earning

CommandPaysHow often
,daily100, plus 10 for each day in a row (up to a month)Every 24 hours; miss a day and the streak starts again
,work20 to 80Every hour
,pet5 to 15Every 30 minutes
,snuggle5 to 15Every 30 minutes
,weekly700Every 7 days
,monthly3,000Every 30 days
,yearly40,000Every 365 days
,beg1 to 25, or nothing, or you get robbedEvery 5 minutes
,hunt10 to 120 depending on the animal, or nothingEvery 30 minutes
Chatting1 to 5 per messageAt most once a minute, and only once you turn it on

Those are the defaults; you can change every amount and cooldown, and set a reward to 0 to turn it off. Begging gives you coins about two times in three; otherwise nobody gives, or a robber takes up to the beg maximum from your wallet. A quarter of hunts find nothing, and rarer animals (a bear is the rarest) pay closer to the maximum. Cooldowns are saved, so a bot restart never resets them.

The bank

,deposit 500
,deposit all
,withdraw 200

Money you earn lands in your wallet. ,deposit (also ,dep) moves it to the bank, where it's safe: stealing, a robbed beg, gambling, paying and the shop only ever use the wallet. ,withdraw (also ,with) takes it back out. There's no limit and no interest. ,balance (also ,bal, ,wallet, ,bank) shows both, and ,baltop ranks members by wallet and bank together.

Paying each other

,pay @someone 250
,pay @someone all

Amounts can be written as 250, 1.5k, 2m, all or half. You can limit payments and keep back a tax (,economy pay 1 100000 5 for 1 to 100,000 with 5% tax), which slows down people farming money on alt accounts.

The shop

Sell a role
,shop add 5000 VIP Pass --role @VIP --description Access to the VIP lounge
OptionWhat it does
--role @roleGiven to the member when they use the item
--takerole @roleTaken away when they use it
--require @roleOnly members with this role can buy it
--stock 10How many can be sold in total (0 for unlimited)
--description …Shown in the shop
--reply …A message sent when it's used, in embed script, with the item variables
--nogiftMembers can't give it away
  • Members browse with ,shop, then ,buy (,buy VIP Pass 2 for two). The bot asks them to confirm unless you turn that off with ,economy confirmbuy off.
  • Bought items go into the member's ,inventory. ,use hands out the role and sends the reply; ,gift gives an item to someone else.
  • ,shop edit changes an item (,shop edit VIP Pass --price 6000; none clears a role or the reply) and ,shop remove deletes it from the shop and from every inventory.
The bot won't sell roles with dangerous permissions (Administrator, Ban Members and the like), and it needs Manage Roles with its own role above the ones it hands out. Jailed members can't use role items.

Gambling

Off until you run ,economy gambling on. Bets use this server's currency only, which can't be bought or cashed out.

CommandPays
,coinflip 100 headsDouble on a correct call
,dice 100 4Five times the bet if the die lands on your number
,slots 1001.25 times for a pair, 5 to 30 times for three of a kind
,roulette 100 redDouble for red, black, odd, even, low (1-18) or high (19-36); 36 times for green (0) or a number
,crash 100 2.5Your multiplier if it gets there before it crashes (the higher, the less likely)
,blackjack 100Double if you beat the dealer, 2.5 times for a blackjack. Hit, Stand or Double with the buttons
,mines 100 3Open tiles on a 4×5 board (1 to 10 mines, 3 by default); each safe one raises the payout. Cash out any time
,ladder 1001.3 times more for each rung you climb; each rung holds 3 times in 4. Cash out any time

Over time, every game pays back a little less than it takes, so gambling slowly removes money from the server. ,economy bets 10 5000 sets the smallest and biggest bet. You can have one blackjack, mines or ladder game going at a time; leave it for 2 minutes and it finishes for you (blackjack stands, mines and ladder cash out).

Lottery and heists

  • ,lottery buy buys tickets (100 each by default, ,economy lottery 250 to change it, up to 100 per member). The first ticket starts a 24-hour draw; then one ticket wins the whole pot, announced where that first ticket was bought. A lone player gets their money back. ,lottery shows the pot.
  • ,heist 500 opens a heist for 60 seconds. Others press Join and put in the same stake. It succeeds 35% of the time plus 7% for each member of the crew (up to 75%) and pays everyone 1.8 times their stake; it needs at least two, or the stake comes back.
  • Both need gambling on.

Robbing, the lucky wheel and collecting

  • ,rob @someone works only after ,economy rob on. It succeeds 40% of the time and takes 10 to 30% of their wallet; if you're caught, you pay them 10% of yours. Once an hour, and never from the bank, so members can keep their money safe with ,deposit.
  • ,luckywheel (also ,wheel) is a free spin every 24 hours, worth about a daily reward on average.
  • ,collectall claims every reward that's ready at once, and ,cooldowns shows when each one is.

Pickup drops

Pick channels with ,economy dropchannel #general and coins fall there now and then while people chat. The message has a Pick up button, and the first click gets the coins. Nobody clicks within 10 minutes and they roll away.

  • ,economy dropamount 20 100 sets what a drop is worth.
  • ,economy dropspeed slow|medium|fast: at most one drop every 10, 3 or 1 minutes per channel.
  • Members can drop their own money for others with ,drop; ,economy drop 500 drops free coins.

Voting

,economy votereward 250 pays members for voting for the bot on top.gg. They vote, then run ,vote in your server to collect it, once per vote (every 12 hours). Each server pays its own reward; 0 turns it off, and ,vote then only shows the link.

Custom earn commands

Put economy tags in an ,autoresponder reply to make your own commands. The tags never show in the reply; they run first, in order. Saving one needs Manage Server.

TagDoes
{addbal: 50}Gives money. 10-50 picks a random amount; amount reuses the last tag's
{removebal: 20}Takes money, and stops with a message if they don't have it
{requirebal: 100}Only works for members with at least that much (takes nothing)
{additem: Cookie | 2}Gives shop items (the quantity is optional)
{removeitem: Flour}Takes an item; {requireitem: Oven} only checks for it
{cooldown: 1h}Once per member per hour (any duration up to 30 days)
{chance: 40}The money and item tags only run 40% of the time; {success} says whether they did
{requiretarget}Needs a mentioned member. Add | target to a money tag to use it on them: {removebal: 10-50 | target}
A cooldown job
,ar add ,bake, {cooldown: 1h}{addbal: 20-60} You baked a cake and sold it for {amount}!
A risky one
,ar add ,crime, {cooldown: 2h}{chance: 50}{addbal: 100-300} {if success}You pulled it off: {amount}!{else}You got caught. Better luck next time.{/if}
Stealing from someone
,ar add ,steal, {requiretarget}{cooldown: 3h}{chance: 40}{removebal: 10-100 | target}{addbal: amount} {if success}You stole {amount} from {target.name}!{else}{target.name} caught you.{/if} --not_strict
  • If anything is refused (not enough money, a missing item, the cooldown), nothing happens and the member is told why.
  • Stealing never takes more than the target has. Use --not_strict so the trigger still works with a mention after it.
  • Replies can use {amount}, {balance}, {success} and {target.*}; see the variables.

Settings

,economy (also ,eco, Manage Server) shows everything. The same settings, the shop and the channels and roles that don't earn from chatting are on the dashboard under Economy.
